don't use the word defeated, that means u lost. i know u said u feel defeated but it's one in the same, u feel you've already lost. that feeling is known all too well. use that moment to ur advantage like u said, its the time to build yourself back up and come out on top. we're always gonna have our low points.. appreciate them, gain strength from them, use them to help u realize that things will get better. follow ur heart as well as ur soul and keep the faith, noone knows how far u can take it but u and the man upstairs. just keep moving forward.. =)
and always remember that everything happens for a reason.. we have to take the bad with the good or there wouldn't be a balance. don't let the bad beat u down like that...
i.. omarion, am not defeated!! to feel defeated and to actually be.. are totally different. the smallest words can create an outcome of such a difference in meaning.. and honestly we all feel this at a point in life.. we are human!! my message to you guys is that we all have this MOMENT.. a moment is non lasting.. a moment is an experience one has the option of learning and growing from.. or actually becoming defeated.
to be in a low is not a lost.. to dwell in a low is when u LOSE..
on a serious tip omarion we all go threw these moments,so just pick up right where u fail and ask god for guidence, and the lord will come threw and what doesnt kill u will only make u strounger, the lord always comes threw for me, i mean not to make this a long story i have beeen out of work for three yrs now yes i do feel like the devil has defeated me i have a illness that i cant get rid of i am mentally ill, i have schizophrenia, and have been contstanly in and out of the hospital, i havent told any of mmy hoodstars family because i was scared what they would think of me, yes i am mentally ill eveyone, it was so bad that i thought deon was stalking me, also on top of that i have to get sugery on my head thats another story i was totally out of my mind, but i kno that i will find happinest and god will guide me threw , im am currently looking for a job, and i hope this works out, but threw it all i still kept hope and the hope i have is god shineing thre me and living in me

@omarion - we know ur not defeated O, and you've got tons of supporters who would agree. alls i'm saying is that there are people who can't help but dwell on that low because all has literally been lost.. >speaking in terms of hope, when u hit bottom, that's typically the last thing to go< and they can spend years under that mentality. for them it's not just a feeling or a moment, but a way of life. a constant struggle.. that's why i said defeat isn't such a good word cause in reality, noone is ever really defeated. all that's needed is a little inspiration and understanding. word of wisdom so to speak lol. that's why you do what you do.. ur music inspires and motivates so many, so keep a smile on that face!

Yea your right O, maybe we as humans did misinterpret the text and overlooked the smallest word which was to *feel* defeated....maybe that's our mistake....being human, driven by such emotion for someone or seeing someone in a state of frustatration we retreat back to OUR moment and have the emotional understanding of how it is to be in that place. No, it's not a nice place to be in, but being in that place can only make us stronger. Yes, we do have options and choices to either conquer or be defeated! But what of those people who do not have the ability or strength to make it through their frustrating period.... we can be there for them, helping them through their time of need, uplifting them to all that they can be. That's why God made us so wonderful...in his own image...of Love!!

Mannn, do I know it! I too have these moments... but it's not always about how often you stumble or fall that makes or breaks you. It's about your will to pick yourself back up and/or your drive to push forward. You said it... there's a difference in feeling and being. A moment comes and goes... and I KNOW about moments. I'm prone to having a couple of those often, but I take them for what they are... moments/episodes that come and go. I persevere and move on. "Only progression can make room for progress."

Amen. Faith, progress, and "self" preseverance... if not, then what's the point? Everybody is obviously here for a reason... when that destiny is fufilled, you get that call. So if it doesn't kill you, it'll only make you stronger... literally, lol. "The rise to greatness is never easy." I was "going through it" at one time, and I had a friend give me some "insight" on the situation. She basically said that the long and hard road I travel, which seems never-ending at times, is only preparation for greatness in the future... because although it might not seem like it at times, there's ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel. Amen.

@omarion - u kno what omarion i am very happy that u said speak words from the soul because i feel as tho it is hard for me to speak from the soul but when i said that the lord shines threw me and lives within me, i really felt what i said inside and that is something so deep, that was truely from my soul and u really can find it with in urself to make a way, much love
